12 scrapbooks (compiler unknown) contain magazine and newspaper clippings, maps, and other printed ephemera chronicling the Spanish-American War (April-Aug. 1898) in Cuba, and the Boxer Rebellion (1899-1901) in China. Volumes 1-11 cover the Spanish-American War and volume 12 covers 29 June-15 July 1900 of the Boxer Rebellion. A copy the War-revenue law of 1898, with index [approved June 13, 1898] is pasted onto the inside back cover of v. 1 of the scrapbooks. A few loose clippings are included inside the front cover of v. 12.
